A few weeks ago superstar volunteer Stephanie P. proclaimed today to be Luau day, and she wasn’t kidding! She showed up this morning with a car full of supplies! The chimps were besides themselves with excitement watching us set everything up. We had grass skirts, flower leis, pinatas, all kinds of drinks in fun cups, and snacks galore. What a fun day!

Sunday, June 6th, 2010Yesterday, Candy alerted me to Sheril Kirshenbaum’s Discover blog asking for photos of kisses. Sheril has a new book coming out soon called The Science of Kissing, which features chimpanzees in a few chapters.
I submitted J.B.’s photo of Annie kissing Missy that we have available in our online store. Sheril liked it so much, she posted it to her blog today with links to our website to find out more about the sanctuary.
