I too was brought to tears with the kiss! after a week of writing so many letters for support of HR 1326 The Great Ape Protection Act
I sooooooooo needed to see some released and healing chimps. Thank you for all you do.

Please everyone sign and urge (or thank) your legislators to co sponsor the bill so that other chimps can also have relief from long-time suffering like these guys!

Kisses! That's so sweet. Do the chimps expression of affection (kisses) mean the same sort of thing as humans? If they can't actually groom you, is a kiss through the glass just as affectionate?

I would give just about anything for a chimp kiss through glass! How sweet! The glass is proving to be a wonderful addition to the chimps enrichment. Thank you so much for sharing the fun.

A little cleaning, a lot of play
What a way to spend a day!

Imagine the games that will evolve with such contact available, and how much closer investigation the chimps and humans can have of each other! A great way to bring out personalities even more. The window is truly literal and figurative!!!

I like what you said Margaret and Karen about "exchanging affection." How blessed you are to be able to "exchange affection," on a daily basis, with these 7 wonderful beings. How I envy the caregivers and volunteers.

Oh that was so wonderful, Jackie! The bantering back and forth and yes, especially the kisses were so heartwarming! I agree, I'm not sure who was having more fun, the chimp people or the human person.!
